Network Issues
Networks are connections between multiple machines that allow the transfer of data, be it in the form of pictures, music, videos, or other files.
Is your wireless network unstable?
Conflicts can exist between different forms of wireless network cards and technologies. A laptop made by Dell in 2006 might cause your 2010 wireless router to slow down. Sometimes devices will even stop talking to each other: in fact, even the type of wireless security selected can prevent some older devices from joining the network. We can resolve this kind of problem by figuring out what devices are contacting the network, what kind of security is in place, and what compromises you would be willing to live with to get them talking again.
Is your wireless network ‘extra slow?’
Many consumer-brand wireless routers ship with poor documentation or instruction manuals, leading to incorrect setup or configurations. If your network is not running as fast as it should, there might be the possibly of other people using your wireless network without your permission.
Most wireless routers or access points comes with software built-in to the device that logs all network activity. Examination of these logs can show us what kind of service is being provided to certain devices, and allow us to develop a plan to secure your wireless network.
